Leveraging Analytics to Improve Patient Access

May 16, 2017
11:20am - 11:55am
Grand Ballroom

UCLA Health recently used analytics to show the average length of time between the day a patient requests an appointment and the first and third available appointments for a visit.

These insights allow UCLA Health to intervene and improve patient access to primary and specialty care.

In turn, timely access to healthcare improves patient satisfaction and, potentially, outcomes. Additionally, patients who can promptly schedule appointments often return to work sooner, and avoid emergency room visits or hospital admission.

In this session, attendees will learn how UCLA Health used analytics to:

  • Improve access to specialists and primary care physicians.
  • Increased access to providers for patients that need care.
  • Influenced the patient experience and improved outcomes.
